This is a great app... Even better than the nyt or wsj one, which is weird. Anyway great job repubblica, keep it up!
Grande applicazione, anche meglio di quelle del new york times e wall street journal e il che è strano e sorprndente... Ben fatto, repubblica, unico quotidiano italiano allavanguardia !
I can finally read la Repubblica every day for just 5 euros a month... For those that complaine that it is not free u should realize that u would spend 31 dollars a month if u actually bought the news papers....spending 5 a month is worth it for a good news paper like la Repubblica .....
I like this app. It works well. You do have to pay to read the full articles, FYI. And to those people whining about ads and having to pay: HELLLOO, but that is what newspapers have always done. Buy a paper from a newsstand, and you will find hundreds of ads. It amazes me how CHEAP some of the people are out there. If you dont like the app, do not use it.
The app does what it is supposed to do.

Some bad moments
plenty of bugs, sometimes you need to restart the iPhone to have a chance to restart the app. lots of italian spelling mistakes in the articles, sometime even in the titles. incredibly poor app for one of the most respected and prestigious newspapers in Italy.
The bugs and problems did not go away even over 3 generations of iPhones and all the versions of iOS that came with them.
often certain articles with photos cannot be read, you only get to see the photos. crappy items layout
This version eats your battery in no time, besides tricking you into giving them your email address.
I do no understand why Italian newspapers (corriere gazzetta and now repubblica) charge to read the news on their apps. When somebody is paying 70$ or more for the iPhone, how can you expect to pay subscriptions for each newspaper? You should offer apps with and without ads as they do in USA, but charging to read articles in an app with ads is unaccetable.
It was a terrible idea to change it to a subscription-based app. You can find the same kind of information for free. They could have just put more pop-up ads or required a registration to a sponsored newsletter.
The app is just an amaturish attempt of copying the NYT.
It does not "work better" than the NYT app. You can only browse content if you have connection... It is not usefull for news.
Please delete the comments "great job repubblica..." because they are made by Repubblica employes.
Shameful.
The new version advertises editorials from the "edizione cartacea," but it fails to say (if not in the fine print) that you need a subscription. As a result, this application is now completely useless as it only allows you to read the articles titles. I tried the app for Il Corriere della Sera: it works better and you can still read the news. I have removed this application from my iphone.
